  • Smiles for Life Training: Free oral health training for healthcare providers. Set of modules focusing on oral and overall health links. Earn up to 8.5 credits for completing.

  • FREE-Smiles for Life AppGood for identifying oral conditions, pain, etc. Identifies what it could be, treatment options, and if a referral to a dentist is needed. This should be a quick resource for everyone!

  • Michigan Caries Prevention Program: To support primary care physicians, including clinical staff, in preventing the number one chronic disease among children – dental caries – the Michigan Caries Prevention Program is offering support tools and training to align with the American Academy of Pediatrics Bright Futures Guidelines. Primary care providers (including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants) and clinical staff, will be trained how to implement preventive oral health services during well-child visits. These services include oral health screenings, oral health risk assessments, and fluoride varnish applications.

  • Caries/Cavity Risk Assessments 

  • MyDentalScore: This website is a great screening resource and takes about 2-3 minutes to take. Gives dental score for caries, periodontal disease, and oral cancer. It gives report number to track (review at home), risks, preventions etc.
